Work Experience

KONG

September 2021 - June 2022

Senior Mechanical Design Project

At KONG, I have learned how to go through a complete design process in a group of other engineers while following loose guidelines from a sponsor. These guidelines include safety features, budgeting, researching data on popular and well liked products. Other then that the group had complete control over the direction that the project went. We would report to our sponsor weekly with updates on the project. Furthermore, presentations were made and given every five weeks to showcase our decision making and ability to follow through on the goal at hand. My assignment for the group was to lead all of the CAD drawings done on SolidWorks that were eventually 3D printed. This ranged from larger parts, such as the shell, to smaller parts like a gearbox and crank shafts. I was also in charge of laser cutting acrylic pieces for the parts of the product that required that.

Preformed Line Products

June 2021 - September 2021

Lab Technician Co-op

At PLP, I learned how to make CAD drawing up to company and government standards, including when machinery needed new parts to be constructed, I would do some CAD drawings. Also, I would set up tests in order to measure specific parameters of their products. This include tensile and compressive stress tests, environmental conditions tests, slip tests, stress and strain test, heat and electrical conductivity tests, and oscillation tests on various conducting wires and dampers.  Another requirement was collecting and analyzing the data for these tests, then putting all of the important results into a detailed report which would then be given to the project engineer.

July 2016 - August 2019

Floral Designer

This position required putting together bouquets of flowers, taking and fulfilling customer orders, and setting up floral decorations at weddings. Working as a floral designer helped develop good customer relations, technical design skills and attention to details.
